Skiing Only Resorts in Salt Lake City

Alta Ski Resort is a great ski resort for everyone. Beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers can find slopes adapted to their level and needs. People enjoy Alta especially for its long runs, its scenery, and for it’s really good price!

Deer Valley Ski Resort is a great skiing experience as the resort covers four mountains (Flagstaff, Bald, Bald Eagle Mountains and Empire Canyon). This resort in Salt Lake City is a little more adapted for intermediate and advanced skiers and a bit more pricey, but was recognized the best ski resort by Ski Magazine in 2007!

Brighton Ski Resort is the best ski resort in Salt Lake City for families because of its value price: kids ski for free (10 years and younger)! This resort is a great place to learn skiing and snowboarding, but also offers advanced skiers some of the best back country experiences.

Snowbird is a resort for advanced skiers/ snowboarders. It is a smaller resort but well know for its high qualified instructors.

Solitude Mountain Resort is famous for its powder . This family friendly resort is usually less crowded than the rest of Salt Lake City Resorts. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels can enjoy a fun day on Solitude Mountain for a reasonable price.

Park City Resort is the most visited resort in Salt Lake City, so be ready to wait in line! Even though skiing and snowboarding is a bit pricier here, most people find their money well spent, whether they are experts or beginners. The resort also offers you a lot of after-ride activities and opportunities..

The Canyons offers you to ride 7 mountains in the Salt Lake City area. Expect a higher skiing and snowboarding difficulty level with great double black diamonds runs.

Sundance Resort is the Robert Redford resort! It is a smaller ski resort that opens later in the year, with no high speed lifts but less visited and cheaper, so great for a family get away.

One More Note!

Day care: All those resorts are great place to go if you have kids and want to be able to enjoy a skiing or snowboarding  afternoon (or day) without looking after the little ones. Licensed day care is available for you to take advantage of the slopes without worries

Airport: All Salt Lake City resorts are within 30 min to an hour from Salt Lake City International Airport. So make it easy for you: Fly in, rent your car, reserve your ski rack, drive and ski!
