The Grand Canyon Skywalk is pretty darn freaky! Another fun thing about Grand Canyon West is that you can get on helicopter rides to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, which you can’t do at any other Grand Canyon park. One little “technicality” I must point out though is that Grand Canyon West is not a “National” park, it is a Native American Tribal Park. It is not affiliated in any way with the National Park Service.

I was out at the Grand Canyon Skywalk here recently. I really like how the Hualapai Nation has improved it since I was there in December of 2007. Shaded coverings where you get on and off the shuttle at Eagle Point where the Skywalk is and at Guano Point…my original favorite overlook at Grand Canyon West. Also, the dancers at Eagle Point add a nice authentic touch to the experience…

They have improved the experience and my hat is off to them.

Interestingly to me, I passed two or three convertibles on the dusty road enroute to Grand Canyon West!
