Check out some of the best events that have been planned in Los Angles around popular holidays and festivals in the next few months.
Events in LA: Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year is an event that is celebrated over a few weeks. Check out the Chinese New Year Floral Street Fair and Lantern Festival at Monterey Park on February 20th where you can enjoy entertaining events, food, craft and rides for all ages.
The Golden Dragon Parade Chinese New Year Festival in Chinatown is scheduled for 20th and 21st of February this year. Parade route includes Main and Cesar Chavez, Broadway, Bernard and Hill St.
You can catch the Chinese American Museum Lantern Festival at Olvera Street on March 6th to see some amazing displays of lion dancers, acrobatics displays and dance performances.
Events in LA: St. Patrick Day
Check out the LA County Irish Fair and Music Festival at the Fairplex in Pomona on March 6th and 7th. You can expect historical enactors, loads of foot tapping Irish music, fine dining and sheep herding competitions too.
The South Bay St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival at the intersection of Pier and Valley Drive on 13th March promises to be a great parade too.
The Los Angeles St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will take place on St. Patrick Day like every year. Starting at Main Street, this parade is open for anyone wearing green. There is also a performance planned by the Lorenzo Lamas and the Young Dubliners at Pershing Square right after the parade.
Events in LA: Easter
Start you Easter celebrations with The Glory of Easter at the Crystal Cathedral, an event that runs for 10 days before Easter on April 4th this year. This is a passionate musical featuring more than 100 actors that portrays the death and resurrection of Christ. Dress appropriately for this event and make sure that you do not take children younger than 9 years of age.
For the children choose to go to the Bunny’s Spring Fling at the LA Zoo & Botanical Gardens on the Easter weekend. The event promises to be an exciting one with an option for your kids to make bunny ears, pet bunnies and prance around with Big Bunny too.
Another event that you do not want to miss if you want your kids to have a great time is The Great Easter Egg Hunt at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden on the Saturday before Easter. Activities include games, photos and natural craft. The free Easter baskets are likely to be a great hit with every child.
