Seattle is well known for Starbucks. So many visitors will plan one of the famous coffee tours during their visit to Seattle. But that’s not the only thing that this amazing city has to offer. The Seattle Space Needle is one of the major landmarks of the United States. It was built in 1962 to commemorate the World Fair and its 2.3 millions visitors! For passionate of architecture, the Seattle Space Needle is always an interesting concept.
Visiting the Seattle Space Needle
The Seattle Space Needle is 520 feet high with a restaurant at the top, the perfect place for the best view of the city. You can make your way up to the top by escalator or for the sporty ones, even take the stairs. So you can enjoy the view of the city gradually on your way to the top! Once you are up there, check out the Space Needle Observatory Deck. You can walk around the Space Needle and enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Seattle. Binocular telescope are free to use all around.
The Seattle Space Needle is open every day. As you can read on its website, the last ride up the Space Needle is at 9.30 pm Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 pm on Friday and Saturday. You have to buy a ticket to visit it; and day/night tickets are available to allow you to visit it twice in one day, allowing you to take advantage of a view of Seattle by night.
You are allowed to visit it by yourself, but if you are interested in a tour, they are also available with prior reservation.

Eating at the Seattle Space Needle Restaurant
The Seattle Space Needle Restaurant is called the SkyCity. Open for lunch and dinner during the week, it also serves brunch on weekends. If you choose to dine there, you will have a free elevator ride up to the top, and you can walk around the Observatory Deck.
This restaurant is a really nice, fine dining restaurant. The menu and the experience is always wonderful for adults, but kids, especially younger ones, tends to not appreciate it as much. They do have a kid menu though!!
More than the amazing service and cuisine, this restaurant is truly a unique experience as it turns, so more than just enjoying one view of Seattle, you get to see all the city and its surroundings while eating!
