Phoenix Cultural Events: Chandler Center for the Arts’ Summer Concert Series
On September 12 and September 19 will be free concerts at the Bogle Theatre. The doors will open for guests one hour before the show starts, so be on time to grab a seat. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Jazz, Blues, Funk and Soul will make your night!
Phoenix Cultural Events: First Friday in Phoenix
You love arts and could stroll through studios and galleries all day long, but paying admission for each place gets too expensive? You will love each First Friday of the month then, as you can visit downtown galleries and art spaces for free! Learn more about local artists and talk to them, see the latest pieces and understand the time and taste of the Phoenix arts community. To get an overview about the participating places stop by at the Phoenix Art Museum and grab a map. You can visit the art places for free between 6pm and 10pm each first Friday of the month.
Phoenix Cultural Events: Ballet Under the Stars 2010
Have you been at Open Air ballets before? From September 22 through 26 you have the chance to simply go into a park in or around Phoenix and chances are that you will get a free and open ballet show! Combine the classical ballet background and shows with beautiful nature and awesome Arizona summer nights, and spend time with classical to contemporary shows. It’s the 13th year of Ballet Under the Stars, and again it will be a great event.
Phoenix Cultural Events: Downtown Chandler Art Walk
Each third Friday of the month you have the chance to see bits and pieces of local art. 70 and more artists present their works in the historic surrounding of downtown Chandler. What makes it even better is that the event is free!
Phoenix Cultural Events: Scottsdale ArtWalk
Scottsdale ArtWalk is a little bigger than its cousin in Chandler. Every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm the city invites you visit art galleries, about 100 of them participate each time! If you love art and artists or are just curious this is perfect for you. Two hours are a good time to explore and stroll, yet not too long to overwhelm you. Make sure though that you know in advance where you want to go to.
