Las Vegas is known for the over-the-top hotels and 24/7 action on the 4 mile Strip. Thousands of people fly in every weekend to gamble and party nonstop. Many of these travelers go from the airport, to a cab, straight to their hotel and back again. They really don’t know what they’re missing…
Las Vegas has some of the best hotels locate just off the Strip. Whether you’re looking for a young, partying group or a laid-back, luxurious trip, the off-strip Las Vegas hotels have something for everyone! Here are some of the best off-strip Las Vegas hotels presented by Fox Rent A Car.

Hard Rock Hotel
If you’re looking for a single, adults-only vacation, then you can’t go wrong with the Hard Rock Hotel. The crowd is mostly younger (and people who want to feel young again), and the vibe is exciting and electric. Although just a short cab ride from the Strip, they have enough dining (Nobu) and entertainment options to ensure you’ll never have to leave. Their main nightclub, Vanity, is one of the best in Las Vegas nightlife. You can catch a show at The Joint, where you’ll find anyone from Carlos Santana to Tim McGraw to DJ Tiesto! They also have one of the best pools in Las Vegas.
The Palms
Another younger, exciting destination, the Palms is located just West of the Strip and is the perfect spot for partying in Vegas. They have some of the best restaurants in Vegas, including N9NE Steakhouse, and French restaurant Alize. The Pearl Theater is a great venue that regularly hosts concerts and shows. They even have a movie theater if you’re looking for a break from the action. When it’s time for nightlife, you can try the three-story nightclub Rain or head upstairs to check out the Playboy Club and Moon.
Red Rock Hotel
The Red Rock Hotel is located way out in Summerlin at the foot of the Red Rock mountains. It’s a one-stop shop of entertainment including dining, nightlife, movie theaters and even a bowling alley. Their casino is top notch, and the hotel rooms are very nice. Their pool complex is amazing and it even has an outdoor amphitheater for summer concerts. If you’re looking for outdoor activities, you can even go hiking in the nearby Red Rock Canyon.
M Resort
The M Resort is actually one the newest hotels in Las Vegas, and is located on the South 15, making it one of the first hotels you’ll see driving in from California. The M has a very modern and contemporary design, with upscale rooms and amenities. They have a dayclub pool named DayDream, where they have weekly events and cabana rentals. They have a daily happy hour from They have a great array of dining options, including a great wine bar, the Hostile Grape, and several bars located throughout the hotel.
Green Valley Ranch
The Green Valley Ranch is an older hotel, but is still luxurious and upscale. It’s located pretty far from the Strip, so it’s not the most convenient location. That being said, if you’re looking to relax at the great sandy beach, or play in the casino, you’ll be more than fine spending all your time at Green Valley. The rooms are very nice and comparable to most of the best resorts on the Strip. It’s a great location for a relaxing trip away from all the hustle and bustle.
