Absinthe manages to combine satirical comedy, jaw-dropping circus acts and burlesque singing and dancing. It’s presented in a 100 year old wooden show tent from Europe called a Spiegeltent. All the action takes place on a tiny, circular stage in the middle of the tent, with only room for 12 rows around the perimeter. You can feel the excitement and tension from any seat in the house.
The cast of characters are as vibrant and diverse as the acts. The host, The Gazillionaire, and his side kick, Penny, will have you rolling with laughter at their crude humor. You’ll fall in love with The Green Fairy, and be mesmerized by how two rollerbladers can defy the laws of gravity.
