Now that the weather is cooling down, the Phoenix desert is the perfect vacation destination.
The desert is warm during the day, but cools off significantly at night.
So you can still enjoy the summer weather, without burning up!
But you’re going to need a good hotel, local restaurant and fun events to make this trip worthwhile!
An Awesome, Stylish Home Base
When you’re away from home, you need a comfortable home base. Somewhere that’s friendly, plush, and luxurious.
Look no further than The Clarendon in Downtown Phoenix.

The Oasis pool area has a swimming pool with underwater speakers, bubbling foundations, and Italian sun beds.
And they have an awesome rooftop lounge area that’s perfect for reading, relaxing, or hanging out with some friends.
The Perfect Spot to Hang Out
The Windsor is a local restaurant and bar just a short walk from the Clarendon. It’s funky vibe and colorful personality makes it a great spot to grab food or hang out with some locals.
Lauren Rains had this to say on the Fox Road Trip;
After our tasty brew and chatting with bartender soon-to-be-dad Will we headed over to the second half of the restaurant that offers a fine selection of ice cream and cookie sandwiches. My sweet tooth could not resist. We split a chocolate cookie with pecan ice-cream mashed up in the center. It was delightful.
Other than the great people and company the best part of The Windsor was hands down this amazing wall comprised entirely of cassette tapes. I found everything from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Madonna to Johnny Cash to Hanson on this wall.
Whether you’re starting the night or ending it, the Windsor is a must-see on your Phoenix vacation.
One Amazing Sunrise Ride
Last but not least, you need to experience the beauty of your surroundings.
And there’s no better way to do that then on a sunrise hot air balloon ride. Amy Schmittauer captured this amazing video on her recent trip.

And there you have it, 3 steps to the perfect Phoenix vacation!
