While Labor Day may be known and commemorated across the world as the day when workers and laborers are applauded for their efforts, its unique positioning at the first Monday of September in the United States makes it the last long weekend that American teenagers get to enjoy before heading back to school for the fall semester. This does not mean that the significance of Labor Day is lost among the people but the holiday has become a time to enjoy with the family at a picnic, parade or music concert before getting back to the drudgery of everyday life.
Labor Day is celebrated enthusiastically across California as in the other states as well. Some of the events that are planned this year for Labor Day Celebration in 2010 are stated below for your reference.
