More events for kids are planned in December and the Sandy City Hall will be decorated with lights and indoor displays from December 1st to December 25th. Free ice skating and hot refreshments have been organized on December 3rd at the South Jordan City Plaza too.

This park is a little hard to find, but the search is definitely worth it! The dog park area at Rotary Glen Park is close to a major road, but it is fenced and neither pets nor owners or drivers have to worry about any accidents caused by dogs or cars. The main bonus of Rotary Glen Park is a huge pond. Located in the middle of the dog park area, every dog loves to jump into the water to enjoy that extra piece of fun! Make sure you bring a towel to get your dog dry and cleaned before you take him or her back home.

Dog Swimming in Salt Lake City: Mill Creek Canyon Off Leash Dog Area

This area has a few restrictions towards off-leash times. You can take your dog here and let him or her run freely only on odd numbered days. This is however not allowed on all trails, but only on the Big Water train, Great Wester trail, Little Water, as well as Neff’s Canyon and Pipeline Trail. You have to make it to Dog Lake in the middle of the canyon; your dog will go crazy about this adventure!

If you have a very active dog this is the place to go. There is a 2.5 round trip hiking trail in the park that gets your dog nicely tired and relaxed.
