Fox Rent A Car presents Cheap Golfing in Salt Lake City and Phoenix

After we have already listed the best budget golf courses for our other locations, here is the last one summary for this season: Cheap and good golf courses in Salt Lake City, UT and in Phoenix, AZ! We hope you have enjoyed our golf posts and that you like our golf course recommendations! Whichever course you want to add, let us know!

Cheap Golf in Salt Lake City and Phoenix: Bonneville Golf Club, Salt Lake City

Play up and down the mountains and enjoy great views while playing some nice golf. Bonneville Golf Club has beautiful greens and is an 18-hole mountain designed golf course. This may not be the perfect place for beginners, but definitely worth a try if you have a little practice.

Cheap Golf in Salt Lake City: Wingpointe Golf Course

Wingpointe has its name for a god reason: it is located close to SLC airport, so you will have the plane noises during your game. However, a quite challenging course and well maintained nature will get you to your game and won’t let you even think about the noise level. This course is tough, so take your time and practice!

Cheap Golf in Salt Lake City: West Ridge Golf Club

West Ridge Gold Club offers some golf excitement for a reasonable price. The greens are well-maintained, and 18 holes mean quite some work for you and your buddies. The course is not too hard so beginners will feel good playing there.

Cheap Golf in Salt Lake City: Stonebridge Golf Club At Lake Park, West Valley City

The Stonebridge Golf Club is one of the courses that are not municipal, yet affordable and nice to play at. Awesome greens, 27 holes at every difficulty level you need, and all for a daily fee. Include a cart though in your price calculation, as the holes are very far from each other.

Cheap Golf in Phoenix: We-Ko-PA Golf Club

Despite the quite weird name We-Ko-PA Golf Club may be the one and only you will ever go to when you are in or around Phoenix! It is very well maintained, offers nice and challenging games and a couple of hours of great entertainment.

Cheap Golf in Phoenix: Orange Tree Golf Resort

Orange Tree Golf resort has an expensive sounding name, but you can play the course for a reasonable price. The whole area is taken much care of even though playing golf here is affordable. Friendly and helpful staff members, as well as modern and good equipment will almost guarantee a nice day out on the course!

So wherever you are or may go to, there is always a good place for a nice golf game. We wish you safe trips and enjoyable times at our Fox Rent A Car locations and test as many golf courses as you can. Nice games on well-maintained courses do not have to cost an arm and a leg, so have fun!

We all know Salt Lake City as a great place for winter sports, such as skiing or ice hockey. But what about the summer time? How about a sports day trip – biking in Salt Lake City. There are numerous trails you can explore at all various levels. Whether you want to do a family trip or want to challenge body and bike to an extreme, having more than 20 trails to choose from in the Salt Lake City area, there is something for everyone! Today, the Fox Rent A Car team wants to present 5 of the most beautiful biking trails in Salt Lake City to you.

Biking Salt Lake City – Porter Rockwell Trail:

This 7-mile trail is ideal for family trips, since it is easy to ride even for the little ones. Starting from Draper City Park at 1300 East and 12500 South, it will guide you down South to Bangerter. It is ideal to spend the day outside on the bike, going very easily and smoothly.

Biking Salt Lake City – Mueller Park Trail:

This is a great trail for hiking, biking and even horseback riding! For 7.5 miles you will get guided from the Mueller Park Picnic Area up to North Canyon, and back again to Mueller Park. This is a great trail for a relaxing bike ride, however it can get quite busy during the nice summer weekends.

Biking Salt Lake City – Mill Creek Pipeline:

With a lower altitude, this mountain biking trail stays open from mid-April through November. The total length from the beginning at the Elbow Fork to the view point and back is 14 miles. You need to be in a good condition and this trail is too hard for children and those of you who just started mountain biking. However, there are four ways to exit the trail when you feel its getting too much.

Biking Salt Lake City – Ghost Falls:

This mountain biking trail will take you to the small, yet beautiful Ghost Falls. Round trip is about 6 miles and the trail is accessible for mountain bikers and hikers. The easiest place to park and start your ride is at Orson Smith Trail Head Park in Draper City, UT.

Biking Salt Lake City – Wasatch Crest Trail:

Wasatch Crest Trail is only for the fitter ones among us. The high elevation, as well as steep parts of the trail require an excellent stamina and quite some experience in mountain biking. This one is nothing for the kids! The ride is 9.2 miles on single track and while it is hard, you will find some amazing wildlife out here! Ride on the “Backbone of Utah”!

Whether you plan a family trip or need to power yourself out, there are so many options out there in Salt Lake City. For the new ones and for visitors, there are even tour companies that offer bike tours. You may also want to check out this website , where you can find all trails evaluated, rated and described. This website is a good way to see whether the trail you have picked is the right one for you.

We wish you a great summer and biking season! Don’t forget to take plenty of water with you and try to ride in the early evenings so that you do not over-exhaust yourself in the heat of the day. If you want to list any other biking trails in Salt Lake City, feel free to do so. We’d love to hear from you!
